Alexander Kruglov, PhD
Alexander Kruglov, a historian by training, began studying the Holocaust in Ukraine back in the Soviet pre-perestroika times, in the late 1970s, when research of this kind was not officially encouraged. Alexander Kruglov published his first works on the topic of the Holocaust in the GDR and Poland.

In 1989, Alexander Kruglov defended his thesis for the doctor degree of Philosophy, then received the title of associate professor of the Department of Philosophy of the Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics, where he worked for over 30 years.

Alexander Kruglov has published 20 monographs and collections of documents, 50 scientific articles and 705 articles in the encyclopedias " The Holocaust on the territory of the USSR. Encyclopedia" and "Encyclopedia of Camps and Ghettos, 1933-1945".
In 2004, Alexander Kruglov's foundational monograph "Chronicle of the Holocaust in Ukraine" was published. As a result of a detailed study of Soviet and German archives, the author has collected a huge amount of detailed information about the events of the Holocaust in Ukraine. The book contains detailed statistical information about the extermination of Jews during the Holocaust.

Alexander Kruglov is а member of several scientific committees of the Holocaust studies, such as
the Scientific Committee of Yahad – In Unum, Paris;
the International Academic Council of Tkuma, Dnipro, Ukraine;
the Scientific Committee of the Babi Yar Holocaust Memorial Center, Kiev, Ukraine.
Alexander Kruglov is the scientific editor of the Atlas "Shoah Atrocities Map-Ukraine" (SAMU),
developed by the Tsal Kaplun Foundation.
