Projects
Our Korets plans for the Near Future Include:
• Obtaining records from a researcher, who has an access to the archives for the whole town of Korets. We will then make a list of all the surnames showing up in those record sets so you will know if your family surnames are on the lists. Please let us know if you are interested in helping our researcher to acquire the records.
• Constructing a tree that we can all have access to, which will show the links among our Korets and Berezdov families, in the present and in the past.
• We would also like to incorporate the names of individuals who are listed in:
o the Korets Yizkor book;
o at Yad Vashem;
o on Ellis Island and other entry cities (including Canadian sites, Israeli sites etc.
o Koretser societies and cemetery listings for Koretser society members in the US, Canada, Israel, Russia etc.
o Genealogical data sites;
o Anything you would like to contribute from the Korets Association of Israel. Please help us to create a beautiful page to Korets on this Tsal Kaplun Foundation site!
• Please contribute family stories and photos of Korets from the past and from your recent visits.
