The North Salem Committee for Ukraine - Fundraiser
In April, The Foundation kicked off its fundraising effort for Ukraine with a spectacular turnout for an evening of music and generosity at Hayfield’s in North Salem, NY. With the more than $20,000 we raised, we were able to provide 1500 food packages for refugees in the western Ukrainian town of Iziaslav. In addition, we secured dozens of tourniquets as well as battlefield dressing and first-aid kits, and a number of desperately needed helmets and flak jackets for an OUN Territorial Defense Battalion, in addition to gasoline to power generators and transport troops to the front. We were also able to participate in a drive to purchase crucial communications equipment for a Ukrainian Army unit.
