Like many Jewish families our family came from the small shtetls  in Ukraine. Hundred years later we are all over the globe, uncles and cousins, brothers and sisters. Ukraine, Russia, Seattle, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Rome, Tel Aviv,  Yafa, Jerusalem and many more.
From one small shtetl in Ukraine to hundreds of cities. Do you want to see how it happened?
Year by year? City by city? Country by Country? Do you want to see how your family spread around the world?
Tsal Kaplun Foundation together with company Map4us is going to help.
Instruction:  play around with the following map :
  1. Use time slider to see migration throughout the years.
  2. Click on cluster to see smaller clusters and individual pins.
  3. Click on pin to get details about the person.

 1. Sign-in to your account (if you do not have an account  go to www.maps4us.com and create one).
 2. How To Create Map
  • Go to "Maps" and create your first map! (you can create as many as you want!).
  • Provide map name and description and click add.
  • Click on "Maps" on the top of the page and select your map to add data.
3. How To Add Data To Your Map
  • Click "Add Person" to add people to your map.
  • Specify person's name, dates person lived at the location/place and actual location/place.
  • Add location/place by specifying city/place and country or just select location/place one the map or by specifying longitude and latitude. You can add the same person multiple times using different dates and locations.
4. How To Publish Map
  • When your map table is complete click on "Publish" on the top of the page and select your map.
  • On "Publish" page click publish and your map will appear down below. On the "Publish" page you also will find instructions how to share your maps with your friends.
