Holocaust by bullets that took place on German occupied territories of Soviet Union from 1941 to 1944 claimed more than 5,000 lives of Jewish citizens of Izyaslav. The Germans occupied Izyaslav on July 5, 1941. The Jewish citizens of the town were ordered to wear yellow stars. As soon as on the August 30 of that year 1,324 of local Jews were shot to death in Poboy anti-tank trenches outside the town. Continue
